The searcher looked up just as the search-ee jumped down. Natuski laughed before acting offended.

"Come on, it wouldn't have taken me all night to find you...just most of it." Natsuki said with a cheery wink before wrapping her arms around Kashikoi's neck and inching her head closer to his. Her nose touched his and she smiled, looking into his teal eyes, her own eyes sparkling happily. Who knew that her coming to the Village Hidden in the Clouds would be one of the best decisions of her life.

"Oh really? You just asked for me to come out!" He smiled too as their noses touched. His eyes reflected the sparkle in Natsuki's eyes as they stood their, looking into each other's eyes. Sometimes you could almost read Kashikoi's thoughts when you looked into those eyes. I'm a lucky lucky man. He hoped that some day he could call her his and he would be hers. Tilting his head slightly, he moved in to steal a kiss from her lips.

Natsuki was about to argue the fact, until Kashikoi's lips met hers. Blue eyes drifted closed as she let herself fade into the kiss. Natsuki's arms tightened a little around Kashikoi's neck as she leaned into him slightly. She had never been this close to someone, but she found she was enjoying it a lot. The man she was holding seemed to enjoy it too.

A rush overcame Kashikoi as their lips meant. He saw her eyes shut and felt her arms tighten around his neck. He too wrapped his arms around her. They had only known each other for a few hours, but it already felt like an eternity. Natsuki seemed perfect in every way. He knew he was falling in love again, but this was a different kind of love. This was love at first sight. It was funny how the smallest decision could change ones life. If he had been a minute later in leaving the dojo, or a minute earlier, he may never have met Natsuki. He might have gone on living his life alone, never knowing again what it was to love someone. Then he realized that his mind had been wondering, for what felt like several minutes, and their lips were still locked together, but he did not pull back.

Natsuki was enjoying the kiss when a yawn interrupted them. As she broke away, the yawn got bigger and a huge wave of exhaustion hit her and she swayed on her feet. If not for the fact that her arms were already around Kashikoi, she would have fallen flat on her face. NOT the most attractive thing to do.

A light blush crawled up her cheeks. Why did the yawn have to come at that moment? Why not AFTER the kiss? A little frustrated, Natsuki looked anywhere but at Kashikoi.

Kashikoi caught her before she fell. He could tell she was embarrassed, and tired. Suddenly an idea over came him. He picked her up, carrying her gently in his arms, and brought into the best room in the whole house. He set her down gently on the bed. "Its time you got some sleep. We need to make sure that you've got enough energy for tomorrow." He said, winking at her. He bent over and kissed her.

Suddenly, Natsuki was lifted into the air by Kashikoi. This had never happened to her , but it felt nice to be cared for. As Kashikoi spoke about the next day, Natsuki remembered the letters that the two had recieved earlier that evening. If they were to find that village, then of course she would need her energy back.

Then Kashikoi kissed her again. She didn't want him to leave and she tried drawing him onto the bed beside her. Natsuki had a sudden fear that all of this was just a dream and that when she woke up, she would be laying on the bench that Kashikoi had found her on. She wanted him to stay with her, at least until she fell asleep.

Kashikoi didn't want to go either. Natsuki really didn't need to put much effort. He was soon laying down next to her, laying on top of the bed. He was facing her with a smile on his face. "Isn't it funny how the smallest decision can change our lives? I can hardly imagine not meeting you and yet all it would have taken was for me to decide not to go to the dojo today." The thought was almost horrific in an odd way.

"It is funny, Kashi. I could've skipped coming to this village. I'm glad I didn't, though." Natsuki replied, glad that he had stayed with her. Reaching for his hand, she twined her fingers with his and just looked at him, smiling like a lovestruck teenager, which was what she was, minus the teenager. How could she get so lucky?

Kashikoi responded directly to the nickname, not even realizing it. "It seems we agree on something, Natsu." Kashikoi's thoughts and feelings reflected those of Natsu's. He lay there for a few moments with Natsuki, hand in hand, then he took his other arm and began to lightly caress the side of her face. The way things were going, neither of them was going to get much sleep.

Natsuki didn't even really notice the nickname she had unconciously given Kashikoi or that he had given her one as well. It all felt so natural. Her eyes fluttered as he began stroking her face. Tingles shot through her as she reached for his face and cupped it before she trailed it down his side to stop at his waist. Then she began quietly humming a lullaby her mom used to sing to her when she was little. She didn't remember all of it, but it was peaceful and reminded her of love-filled days, much like now. Natsuki felt that it was fitting.

Kashikoi began relax even more as Natsu cupped his face. He was already fighting to stay awake, but the feeling of her hands on his skin was making it harder and harder. He instinctively moved a little closer to her, touching his nose to hers and giving her one final kiss. "Good night Natsu." He still held her hand and, although no longer moving, his arm still rested on her side, but he was fast asleep. His dreams were filled with thoughts of living the remainder of his days with Natsu, the woman whom he had already come to love so very very much.

Natsuki could tell that Kashikoi was falling asleep. She was herself, but she didn't want to miss a moment of being with him. When he leaned in to kiss her, she met him and kissed back before he said good night and drifted off to sleep. Natsuki was able to stay awake a little longer. She gently ran her fingers through his hair before kissing him on the nose and whispering,

"Good night, Kashi. I think I might love you." Then she drifted into her own dreams of being with Kashikoi for as long as she could.

Kashikoi's dreams were more real than he realized. They still consisted of spending a lifetime with Natsu, but he could almost hear her voice. It sounded like she said that she might love him. Without even realizing it he whispered out loud, while still sleeping, "I think I love you too."

Kashikoi slowly began to awake. He knew it was around mid-morning. He felt well rested and ready for the new day. He was slightly surprised when he found Natsu in the bed with him, but then he remembered all that had happened the night before. So it wasn't all a dream. It was real! He lay there quietly, not wanting to disturb sleep, and quite content to watch her as she slept. The peaceful rise and fall of her chest was soothing to him and he lost all sense of time.

Natsuki grumbled in her sleep as she moved around the comfortable bed. She had had the strangest dream. In said dream she had fallen in love with the Mizukage of the Hidded Mist Village and fallen asleep in one onf his beds...but she was in a bed now...

Tentatively she felt around the bed and hit skin. Her eyes shot open to rest on Kashikoi, the Mizukage. She was surprised that, for once, she hadn't just dreamed something happy. She truly was in love and had a nice guy to be with.

"Good morning, Kashi." Natsuki said quietly, not willing to completely disturb the peace.

Kashikoi thought it was time for a little bit of friendly teasing. "Welcome back to reality little miss sleepyhead." he said, making it clear that he was playing with her. He would never intentionally insult her and would always make sure she knew when he was doing. "Did you sleep well love?" Once they finally managed to get out of bed, Kashikoi would cook breakfast for them. Hopefully she would enjoy it just as much as the previous night's tea.

As Natsuki blinked to get the sleep out of her eyes, she pouted playfully.

"I slept great. I was out, once I finally let myself, anyway. How did you sleep, Kashi?" She asked, cupping his face once more. His eyes caught her and she just looked at him, waiting to hear his voice and maybe drag her from her sudden trance, if that was what you could call it. She had heard him say that he thought he loved her as well and it warmed her heart. How had she been so lucky to run into Kashikoi at the time she did? Any other time and they would have missed each other. Was it fate?

"I slept just fine too. So, what do you say to breakfast?" He asked, winking at her. He could tell that she had slightly zoned out. So he moved in for a kiss in order to draw her out of that trance. It was probably the most gentle and effective way to do so, plus it was anything but unpleasant. He was beginning to realize that he was hungry though, so they would have to get up in a little bit.

Her trance was broken by a very sweet kiss. But at the mention of breakfast, Natsuki's stomach rumbled slightly. While the meal the night before had filled her up, it had only slightly taken away the full brunt of her hunger. Not eating for two days could really take a toll on a person.

"Breakfast sounds divine!" Natsuki said joyfully, smiling across to Kashikoi. He was just so sweet.

Kashikoi was up the instant she agreed to breakfast. "Alright, any requests?" he asked as he walked out of the bedroom and back into the living area which was right next to the kitchen. He didn't realize that his hair was a total mess. He would shower soon enough though. He had heard her stomach and his wasn't much better.

Natsuki was surprised at how fast Kashikoi got up from the bed. She was still in her blue kimono, even if it was now a it rumpled. Her hair, however, was another matter. While most of it was still in the bun, random pieces had fallen out during the night. Her hair was sticking up in random places too. But she wasn't the only one. Natsuki noticed Kashikoi's hair and giggled a bit before following him out to the kitchen. But she didn't know what she wanted to eat. She didn't know what he had for supplies so she said,

"Surprise me."

"What are you giggling about?" He asked indignantly. He began to prepare a meal, getting together the supplies he needed and then beginning to cook. She seemed pretty reasonable when it came to food so he wasn't too afraid that she would not be pleased his meal. He didn't pay her hair much notice; she was beautiful regardless of how messy her hair might have been.

"Oh, nothing important. But, hey, you can cook?" Natsuki asked, changing the subject. He was probably aware of his hair situation. It didn't bug Natsuki in the least; in fact, she thought that it was cute. She wanted to run her fingers through his hair to but thought that it would be distracting and she needed nourishment if she was gonig to do anything at all.

Kashikoi gave her a skeptic look before answering her question. "Well I'd like to think that I can cook. But thats up to you today." He said, winking. Then he set the table, placing down steam rice, miso soup, and tamagoyaki. "Well? SHall we dine?"

Warm scents wafted towards her as Kashikoi finished their breakfast and set a bowl in front of her. Again, it was all she could do to keep herself from gulping it down. As she took her first bite, she simply smiled at the wonderful tastes assailing her mouth. It was the perfect breakfast and she was glad that she was eating it.

"It's delicious!!!" Natsuki exclaimed after she had swallowed serveral mouthfuls.
